These 3 belts are supposed to be made of leather. What are they making today?
My last belt lasted me over 30 years.
Pure solid leather. No skin like you see in these belts.

If you go to a uniform store the belts they sell for cops etc. are not only real leather but thick heavy leather designed to hold all that gear in pouches they carry around.

Also there are still a few leather goods companies that make real leather belts. They aren't cheap.

I found this one a year or so ago and it is the real deal. Be aware, you will have to cut the buckle end and punch a hole for the screw, but it is a sturdy and old fashioned thick cow leather. The one I got even came with a punch for the hole. Highly recommend and I have no idea where it comes from. Just search Amazon for "Keecow Men's Leather Belt".

I stopped wearing traditional belts (the kind with holes) a few years ago. I have a couple of the "ratchet" type belts for when I need to wear a suit, but for everyday belts, I moved to these: https://grip6.com/pages/collection-index-page-mens Made in the USA, guaranteed for life. I've bought them as gifts for people who won't stop thanking me, and I have more than I need, but I like to mix and match the buckles and straps.

In a lot of the local gun shops around here, they carry high-quality belts made by the Amish. They're solid leather 2" belts with roller buckles and are cut accurately to size. I have a couple that are over ten years old, and they just keep on goin'.

Walmart sells many heavy leather belts under the Dickies brand. They have a good selection too. Paper belts disguised as leather last a month at best. I've been buying them for the last 20 years.

Had the same problem with Amazon belts. Got a good one at Kohls, real leather and not expensive

I’ve often wondered why leather products are so expensive. Americans love beef. And all the cows that are slaughtered to satisfy that craving have a hide that gets sold to leather producers. How many millions of cows are processed each year? Seems leather should be less costly.

Find a local Leather crafter and have a custom belt made. It will last many years.

Truth in advertising is actually "truth in using all of the loopholes". Here's an example: A product that is listed as 100% orange juice simply means...in advertising double-speak...that what little orange juice there is in the container is in fact 100% orange juice, even if it is only one ounce of it. The rest of the contents could be sewer water however the little bit of orange juice used is 100% pure. This would pass the truth in the advertising test.
