Not quite such a severe crop: little off the top; less off the bottom. And you do not have to stay with 3:2 format.

I like seeing the bird in the foreground...it adds to the picture - Nikonian's crop keeps the interesting foreground. Beautiful shot!

I'm very enthused and appreciative about everyones input. My idea about cropping was to make the pier larger. Taking advice from the input I got, I'm submitting a 2nd crop. Comments welcome.

Fabulous photographs. Personally, I would not crop or alter them in any way. I wish I had just one of these that I had authored.
At the time of this post, we are being ravaged by Sandy and although it is way off shore we are getting a battering from wind and rain. Pray for The Delaware/ Virgiina/ Maryland Peninsular. PLEASE.

I would crop slightly on the bottom & none on the top or sides. JMHO-- you'll get several different suggestions. Love the color.
