South & East Asia 42 - China/Sichuan 41: Emeishan - Baoguo Temple - Building details
In this set I present a number of different building facades or details, mainly made out of stone or tiles, but also including wooden elements.
There are a variety of large and small structures in the garden, many with surprising elegant details.
Tiled roofs with a graceful upward slope incorporating designs or often figurines are a typical element of Buddhist temples to help ward off evil spirits

More of your good work on architectural detail, Joe!
The architecture series is really fascinating, Joe, great shots.
Joe, good job. There must be an awful lot of weight involved with those roofs.
Wow! More great shots of my favorite things!! Love these!

Thank you Barbara, my thoughts also, that must be a very solid roof construct to take that weight.

Wow, these are so interesting! Your eye for the architecture and detail didn't wander at this stop!
There's something very intriguing about #9 for me Joe, but these were all very enjoyable with the details you brought out!
