Good TV Series with an Extra

Netflix has a short series called, "The Woman in the House Across the Street..." (very long title) It's a mystery, but there is a touch of humor throughout. Now this is personal taste, but I find the starring woman to be absolutely beautiful. Watching this series is a pleasure.

The starring woman, Kristen Bell, was also one of the stars in "The Good Place." Have you seen that one? Her career seems to be going through the roof. As for the series, you at first get the impression that you're watching a remake of "Rear Window". But then the humor filters in like the guy who has been fixing the same mailbox for two years, like every time she's under stress, it's raining outside and she ends up in the middle of the street face down in the rain. Then there is the casserole joke. I won't say any more. You have to watch it.

Yes jerry, my wife said she had heard good things about this series, so we will give it a go later. We are also watching another recommended series on Netflix called 'after life' starring Ricky Gervais, it is not for the faint-hearted, as it contains a lot of bad language, but it is very funny.

We started watching it expecting a mystery but I really enjoyed it when the humor began creeping in. The ending however, was a bit over the top.

She starred in a series called "Veronica Mars", where she played a teenaged detective. It was amusing and cute - this Netflix series is very much a takeoff of that. There are some very subtle bits of humor in it. I won't drop any spoilers, but I did point out a few things to my wife that she was missing... (Gravestone related).

Maybe the ending "was a bit over the top" but it keeps the door open to continue a new adventure for her.

Absolutely! Glad you brought that up. I was thinking about the murderer, not the final ending. Mea culpa👍

Wow! I didn't that was the same person. I had to Google images of her to make sure. She looks so much better in "The Woman..." I'm watching The Good Place, but I'm not as impressed by her looks. That is amazing! Unbelievable!!! That's a shocker. I'll pay close attention when I watch both shows tonight. Wow!

That is one that we are watching off and on.
There is a new SciFi one called BigBug and I'm definitely gonna watch that! Inventing Anna also seems interesting. Its based on a true story.
