Here are some photos from my trip to Turkey in 2021
Number two is my favorite.
Now those are pictures that you don’t see very often unless you live there.

Fabulous eclectic set, Rob. How wonderful to be there during a hot air ballon festival. Your beautiful photos of Turkey have me researching photo tour opportunities there.
#2…The Library at Ephesus TU. Spent many days exploring there over the course of 2 years while stationed at a remote US Air Force Site outside of Balikesir TU in the early 1990’s (which was about a 5hr drive north of Ephesus). So much history in Turkey…it was just friggin AMAZING!!! The House of the Virgin Mary (where Jesus‘s mother was hid after the crucifixion) was just a few miles from there as well. While walking the site (which stretches several miles) I came across a small pyramid. It was the tomb of Cleopatras half-sister who went into exile after she tried to take the throne from Cleo. Her name was Arsinoe IV. And the picture of the spice store…I can still remember the wonderful smell…WOW!! Blue Mosque in Istanbul and the hot air balloon’s over Cappadocia. You really had a great tour of the country. Can’t wait to go back after this Covid-19 stuff is over. Of all my oversea tours of duty, Turkey is the country I want to visit again first and maybe spend a month…oh and in case you didn’t know, they have GREAT beaches to relax on! And if you have the time and can stand the summer heat, a charter on a motor/sailer ship called a Gulet is another way to see the country. They can visit small towns and secluded beaches along the coast. And they‘re not that expensive. Enough of my ramblings. Great photos!
The Library at Ephesus. Entire city was made mostly of marble. Saw Diana Ross concert at the amphitheater there back in the early 1990‘s. It was televised on HBO.
Very interresting shots, thanks for sharing.
