That brought back a memory. In the summer of 1966 I was a biologist’s aide, working for the Fish and Wildlife Service on the Kenai Peninsula. When sheep hunting season opened, they assigned me to man a sheep hunter’s checking station at the head of Tustemena Lake. It was an interesting three weeks up there by myself. Met a lot of interesting people and watched a guy nearly crash while landing on the lake. Never saw any bears, though. Neat pics of them. Thanks for sharingl
