Is she saying "we have new hay and it needs to be rolled?" For City Kids, old phrase was polite for sex... they had "a roll in the hay."

BB4A, two subtle touches I would compliment you and the model for, the fingernail polish and eye makeup which speak to the gray of the door. It is details like those that make the day.

Thanks, I like to isolate my subject from foreground and background, while integrating with the props; in this case that lovely old barn door.

Probably brings a smile to those who grew up in rural communities. Very often, their first taste of love happened in such a place; just out of sight of parents and siblings

Very nice image!

Just a nit-pick: highlight behind the head in the upper left corner is a touch distracting but easily cloned out!

Be well!

Thanks! Note about the barn window in the background. In the final image from the series I had rotated a little further around the Model, which moved that window out of shot without materially changing the mood of the composition.

Loved the image.
Very nuanced.
Have to agree with the comment on the highlight.
A slight annoyance in an excellent composition and image.
Thanks!

Thanks, and that’s why this “Nearly” didn’t make the commissioned Series.

Great image, beautiful model. I like the peaks of warmth through the boards, but I think I would do something with the skin tone of her thighs (warmer) and perhaps take little red and orange out of her face.

Edit: You know, this image looks much better in download. I think the color is fine.

Thanks, glad you like it. And yes, that’s why I always try to include the download; it really helps with (a) color definition and hue saturation for color photographs, or (b) shading and contrasts for B&W.

I never saw a barn door!

🤣

Check out the door by the Models hand. I always try to keep as much definition in the prop as I can.

Yes, it's called texture....great picture...

Thanks!

And yes, texture in a prop is important; if it exists, it probably should be displayed. That’s all about basic photography technique; capturing the subject and prop(s) in-camera in as sharp focus as possible. I use Canon equipment exclusively; I’ve never yet used a body and lens combo that couldn’t produce a perfect focus for all digital media (including up to Highway Billboard sizes with a 20MP sensor, like in the 7D MkII or 1DX MkII bodies I used in 2017).

I hate to see excessive sharpening of a prop as that will often destroy the Models skin texture and create ghosting around her body shape. I’ve had US Models tell me they really appreciate that I never use that dreadful phrase, “I’ll sharpen that in post-production”… 😉
