What can anyone tell me about two Nikons that I have?

2: D2X

Thanks, Ron

Or you could just go to NikonUSA's website and download the manuals:

Here's the link for the D2H manual:

D2X is still a very capable and interesting camera.

Google - ‘compare Nikon2DH and Nikon2DX’
These cameras were introduced way back inn2005 and 2007, respectively. They have both bren upgraded to ‘s’ after the camera name

My first dslr was the 4 mp D2h and the upgrade was to the 12 mp D2x. Both were outstanding bodies in their day.

Seems amazing that I have 16x 20 prints from the paltry 4 my D2h

LOL And I thought that I was taking a chance printing "large" from that paltry 12mp from my Canon 5Dc. I guess we were both taken in by those companies that told us we needed a zillion MP to print larger than 4x5. :-) Harry

Well - there is one very good reason for maxing out mp’s and that is the ability to crop deep into a photo. My current bodies are D850’s (47mp’s) and D5 (20mp) and I shoot a lot of sports and wildlife. With the 4mp D2h, if the glass was not long enough to have the image fill the screen after the 1 1/2 crop factor, it was game over. With the newer gear, I can salvage a lot of pics with deep cropping, especially with the 850’s. It really is a game changer.

Of course the downside of more mp’s is file size. When shooting with the D2h, I could store a weeks worth of shooting on a couple of modest sized hard drives. These days, I have a desk full of 8 TB drives.
