Kestrels, Anyone?

This is from "Mark Trail" yesterday. Do any of you have Kestrel pictures to post? I've seen hawks and eagles, but I don't think I've seen kestrels.

The Spitfire was originally called the Kestrel. There is a small civilian plane named after this bird.

Old name of bird, Sparrow Hawk. Now American Kestrel. The plane was a Kestrel, interesting. Not sure if I have seen Kestrels on the UHH or not. Friends have posted them on a photo FB group that I am also a member of.

I have a few pics but never considered them good enough to post here on UHH...I was tickled to get these in the books as a new First & be good enough for positive ID.

I saw this smaller bird harrassing the much larger Red Shouldered Hawk that was sitting in the dead top of a Cedar and wondered what it was. The tail told me it was nothing I had captured before... Then I saw the Eye patches that told me it was a Kestrel. I think my pics got shakier after that! All are heavily cropped as I have the Canon kit lens for my Rebel T8i the 55-250mm and they were pretty far away. I like the one of the Kestrel sitting in the Pine tree.
