My doctor recommended that I drink Gatorade G-2, the low sugar version.
Today, I saw the 32 oz at $0.88 cents at a store across town.
I have been seeing WalMart's commercials saying that they will match any store's prices.
WalMart is much closer to home so I took the store's ad and drove to WalMart.
I went to the shelf and saw all the G Series products were $0.95 each.
I put about a dozen in my cart and went to the register.
I showed the clerk my ad and he said, "Oh, yes. WalMart matches all prices."
He looked at the ad and said, "This doesn't say G-2."
I said, "The ad says G-series and G-2 is part of the series."
He called the manager and the manager said basically the same.
I walked out.
Around Memorial Day, WalMart put out a gigantic ad with the Haynes underwear that I use in a 6-pack for the price of a 4-pack.
I was in the store as it opened and watched several employees bring out gigantic boxes of Haynes stacked on large pallets.
On each box was printed, "Get 6 for the price of 4."
I went through thousands of pairs on 3 pallets and each and every package was marked, "Get 5 for the price of 3."
BUT, the price for the pack of 5 was the the same as the advertised price for the 6-pack.
I found 2 packages in my size and went to the manager and asked if he could adjust the price by 1/6 since there were only 5 in the package at the price for 6.
The manager was very straightforward, he said, "NO!"
Well, I needed some underwear so I bought the 2 packages and went home.
Several weeks later, I opened a package and found that while they were labeled as what I had purchased in the past, they were very different - thinner material and much more.
I immediately wrote a letter to the WalMart headquarters.
Since I have not received a reply, I assume they are very carefully crafting their response.
I cannot understand why WalMart would spend so much on ads and commercials and then fail to do what they promise to do.
Do they think that will promote loyalty to Walmart?
I will not shop at Walmart for that reason.
They are not beholding to anyone but China.
Couple of years ago I went into a Fart-Mart and in the movie section saw a big display saying
" Complete Seasons 1 and 2 of Seinfeld $31.98 "
So I brought Seasons 1 and 2 up to the register and the clerk said ' That'll be $63.96 Sir '
I pointed to the sign and said 'Excuse me, check out your sign' Yup - next came the Manager. They would not give me Season 1 and 2 for $31.98 but as we were talking, I noticed a clerk come in and put ' EA ' after the $31.98 sign.
You don't want to know the rest of my conversation with that Manager. At least I felt better after. Plus the line got to about 10 people and they were all chuckling about the clerk up on the ladder changing the prices.

I called on Wal-mart several times. I know their policies and was a vendor with them for several years. They have many such issues with merchandise not matching promotional pricing at the store level. Sometimes it is the vendor not shipping the merchandise on time but more often than not it is the department personnel not pulling the correct merchandise for the ad. There is not much you can do about it other than complain in writing to Bentonville. They may give you a gift card if you make a big enough stink but I wouldn't bet on it.
It is so amazing how many people try to take advantage of something and are not paying attention to the ads, products, etc.
Price match is only on EXACT items, and if the packages are different contents, then that is a different deal than advertised, and anyone using common sense should know how to read the signs put up.
Companies run purely for profit?
Misleading advertising?
Thank God I'm British. It could never happen here.

Where did you get the idea that it was NOT the exact item?
It was the exact item.
Here in the UK if goods are advertised at a price, by law they must honour that price. It's upto the shop selling the goods to change the advert or remove the goods from sale.

Sunny England, missleading advertising?

It's sad to see this company and a lot of other companies go down the same road of only being concerned with their practices. The customer seems to be of no concern anymore, although this is not the case all the time. Sam Walton would be very unhappy.
These things are happening at all wall mart stores. Afriend works for them in the clothing section it is their policy to NOT put up the correct signage infill some one complains
