This is not where I live but it’s almost as bad here. I started yesterday and still not finished.

It can always be worse. You could live in Aomori, Japan...the snowiest place on earth.

They must have some amazing snow removal equipment to get the vertical walls like that.

you can keep that snow. it's the worst of the four letter words around here. everyone has a heart condition and a new baby up until the point where you offer to send an ambulance, then they all back off.

in 2010 we had a 36" followed by a 24" followed by an 18" in the matter of 2 weeks. and people were calling in to complain on day 2 that their development wasn't plowed and they couldn't get out. get out where? it's a state of emergency and everything is closed. you will be ticketed if you're driving on the road. where are you all going?

a few years later i took a call by some very angry person wanting to know when the snow plow would get there and clear out their development. i had the joy of telling them that it was currently 4pm and the snow wasn't even going to start until 8pm that night.

I’m wondering what thawing disrupts…

Having go to SUNY Oswego, I still remember the snow and that was almost 50 years ago. It one of those things one does not forget.
