This photograph was made in Utah's Dead Horse State Park, a few miles North of Moab Utah. This is not part of the Grand Canyon, but a canyon made by the Green Ricer. In a few miles the Green River will become part of the Colorado River and will become the Grand Canyon.

Always interested in photos of this area. Years ago, before I became really interested in photography, my wife and I kayaked down the Green River to the confluence with the Colorado. Cruising around this bend, because of the size, is hardly noticeable. Great view of the canyon from the river though. Wish I had had a good camera at the time.

Haven't been there since the 1990s; still looks pretty much the same; beautiful. Nice photos, well done.

Nice pic. Except you've got your rivers switched. The river shown below DHPSP is the Colorado River, not the Green. The Green joins the Colorado at what's called The Confluence, in the heart of Canyonlands Nat'l Park.

I am terribly envious of your photo. When I was at the same spot last summer, smoke from the fires obscured my view. I had to work in PP to get this image this clear.
