I normally use a Nikon D5500, which is good enough for the types of photos I take. However, I acquired a Nikon Coolpix P7000 which is a nice bridge camera with many of the same controls as a DSLR, and a very sharp lens. It is also lighter and easier to carry on occasion. That is what I used to shoot these photos. There are some beautiful places in New Jersey. One would never know driving the NJ Turnpike, but it was rightfully named "The Garden State"
Like the colors that are just changing.

Exceptional and eye-catching 💚🌈💚🌈💚
Jeff - beautiful images, and the 4th and 5th shots of that amazing tree are spectacular!
Jeff,
Very nice pictures of my home state and I agree what a beautiful state it is if you know where to look. Years ago while in the service I'd mention I was from Jersey & my pet answer used to be,"we developed it the way we did & put the turnpike where it is so that people traveling would think the whole state was that way & wouldn't stop but would keep going through !" If they ever went to the north west & see how many lakes there are, they might want to stay.

The 4th photo ("Just a Great Looking Tree") looks just like a tree (camperdown elm) in Prospect Park (Brooklyn). Where in NJ is this? Maybe I have to go there & look!

Deep Cut Park is in Middletown, NJ. I didn’t post photos of their bonsai collection or succulent greenhouse.

Thank you!
OK...it'll take me an hour to get there. I'll go in the spring!
