Watch the car shows on TV to understand how it's done. I hadn't worked on my own car for many, many years. This was back in the days when car were easy and wrenches were still the main tool. Now computers have taken over.

In 1965 I worked for a Auto repair and Body shop that built a two front end 50-51( they used different year front ends Ford) Car the could be driven forward or backward by two drivers by using a 4x4 front axle for the "rear end" It was so heavy it had overheating problems, but it was a big hit in parades when they would drive it on the diagonal or do circles.
