Was checking out a historic house in the area, and was surprised to find these running around on the property.
Nice pics, at a place near me they have a white peacock, must get over there and photo it.
Nice shots! They are beautiful birds.

When my wife and I were looking at houses last year, here in the S Florida region, one small development community was literally overrun with them. Not unusual to see 2 or 3 perched on each roof and during the mating season (which was during the time we toured there) females would be chased through the yards by up to a dozen males. We loved the idea of having 1 or 2 peacocks walking freely through our yards but there were just too many of them and it was actually a reason we decided not to buy there.

Good shots, Wizz
They are one of God's most beautiful creations. I used to have some. One always slept on top of the Purple Martin house I had on a tall pole. I guess he thought..."Well, I'm a bird!!!!!"
Beautiful birds and good shots. Too bad you couldn't get one to display the full tail in a special pose for you.

I wouldn't have bought there either,BW326. They are wonderful to look at but I wouldn't want them running amuck around the neighborhood.
