Win10 does not support Affinity Photo 1.10.4 update

I cannot update Affinity Photo in Win10. After downloading, I opened with 'Administrator'. A window pumped up, ' Get apps from Store'; 'Install anyway'. Normally I just click 'Install anyway'. I can open open and install, but not this time. 'Window Store does not have Affinity 1.10.4, . How can I overcome this Win10 problem. Thanks

Can't help but I'm running Affinity Photo ver. 10.10.4.1198 in Win10 build 19043.1415 and all is well.

I'm not sure I understand the exact nature of your problem so I'm not sure I can help. I recently downloaded Affinity Photo 1.10.4 from the Affinity site and installed it (Win 10 laptop). The installation seemed OK but I could not open the program. The opening screen would appear, stay about three seconds, and then nothing. Let me know if you have the same problem and I can help you.

I also downloaded and installed Affinity Photo ver. 10.10.4.1198 in Win 10 awhile back with no difficulties whatsoever. I don't recall the details (it's been awhile) but I don't think it involved getting an app from the store. I simply followed the directions as they popped up and don't recall all of that. Sorry I can't be of more help. Perhaps you will need to contact the Affinity Forum or Serif.

I am in the same situation, I downloaded AF update and it loaded on my desktop W10 with no problem, it fails in "Setup" with my laptop running W10 even in administrator mode. I got some advice at the AF forum that addressed issues at the registry level that are above my ability to address. Keep us posted if you get anywhere with this.

The problem was solved. Go to 'Settings, 'Choose where to get apps', pick 'anywhere, but let me know if there ' s a comparable app in MS store'. I got help from a FB Affinity group

Do you have to get it from the Windows store? How about from Affinity directly? I wonder if it would work on Win11.

Hmmmm...... I am using Affinity Photo 1.10.4 on Windows 10 with no problems. However, I have always taken the updates directly from serif.com, the company that produces Affinity products. I have never had a problem with any update doing it that way. I wait until Affinity tells me there is an update available, and then click on the "dowload" button. Why are you getting the software from a different source?

When the Affinity updates are acquired through the windows store is there a charge for them? They are free for as long as you own the software when gotten directly from Serif, one of the really nice features of Affinity Photo.

I installed 1.10.4.1198(the latest) in Windows 10 and Windows 11 with no problems. In fact, I have never had problems installing Affinity with any Windows version that I have run. You should be able to delete the download you had and reinstall.
