Number of posts in each section

Why do the administrators only ever have 8 - 10 post in the buy/sell section but they have so many in the Photo gallery we have to scroll through dozens of posts. I have posted items in the buy/sell and they disappear in the digest within a day or two.

Number of posts in each section...

What is a section? in what?

I counted 15 posts in each gallery post.
I saw one buy/sell with 14 on a page. but the average is only a few posts.

Are you talking about the forum sections or the digest sections?
Maybe there are more gallery posts than buy/sell posts?

I'm not following your train of thought here.................

Don’t rely on the digest. Look in Newest Topics (link at the top of the page).
Newest Topics will show you the newest posts in all the sections you are subscribed to.
The All Sections link at the bottom of the page will take you to all the available sections, you can subscribe to the sections you are interested in.
Posts are listed in chronological order in the sections they are posted. Photo Gallery gets a lot of posts so so a post can be bumped to the 2nd (or 3rd) page in a short period of time.
You can also find information in the Help section, link at the top of the page.

I believe it is the appearance of how many UHH'ers reply to any post. Each "transaction" helps keep this "thread" higher or, with no posts, lower in the overall total.

So, if no reply-response from UHH members, the thread will shrink or disappear. If there are questions or interest, the thread will rise or continue to be seen. i.e., it is all about numbers!!!

Can you control it or force it higher??? If so, you are a 'better man than I am" according to a famous text.

Post what you have. Be active in answering questions of others. (Maybe come back to your original post and add more info about the item you are selling every few..... hours(?) to help increase your otherwise disappearing listing.

A ridiculous game??? Yes and no. Play it/use it if it accomplishes something positive. If your efforts are hollow and meaningless, you will fail. - It's a harsh 'rule book' for how parts of the modern world responds to online sources of information....Fear and hate mongers seem to have a built-in capability of 'raising' the blood pressure of others who will help keep their listing/posting higher on the 'algorythism count' of what could be drivel or something important.

Rise above the 'cess pool' and post whatever but not to raise the blood pressure of respondents but the higher emotions of any and all respondents. Please.

(This is how I understand how postings on emotional hate/fear websites seem to rise by stoking the fears and anger of others who are gullible. I'm not and will try to never be one of them.)

As I mentioned in my last sentence.... buy/sell posts disappear FROM THE DIGEST in a day or two. My only concern is that many people (perhaps like myself) only look at the digest without digging deeper into each full section.

Don't rely on the "Digest", it is just a teaser of selected posts each day and has limit on how many get selected.
Go directly to the main home site, subscribe to the sections you want. I believe currently there are 48? different sections, I am currently subscribed to 27 of them.

That's what confused me.
From the first sentence, I was thinking posts in the gallery and buy/sell sections (forums) before I read the last sentence. Probably because I do not get the digest.

If you’re only looking at the Digest then you’re missing most of what the rest of us see.
By definition a Digest is a shortened reference for what is available. Or as the dictionary says:
Definition of digest (Entry 1 of 2)
1 : a summation or condensation of a body of information: such as
a : a systematic compilation of legal rules, statutes, or decisions
b : a periodical devoted to condensed versions of previously published articles

That being noted, be aware that the UHH Digest only has slots for so many articles and they rotate thru by popularity (views). In just a few days, your post will disappear from the digest but will still be in the same section that you posted in. This holds true for all of the sections except for the ones that rarely get posted on.
Edit:
As a side note, even if your post was in a popular section like photo gallery, then it may never appear in the Digest if it doesn’t have enough views.
