I purchased one of my three nikon F2's in 1974 with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4. It traveled well until I started using a Nikkor 35mm f/1.4.
Now I have a Z 35mm f/1.8 S, but still waiting for my Z6ii to be shipped. I have been waiting 4 weeks. If I need a 50mm, I will use my old f/1.4 with the adapter.

When I analyzed my 2021 numbers, I had twice as many images from one Canon 35mm f/1.4 over the combined images from the two 50mm lenses reporting in my statistics.

I traveled for a living and had to carry a laptop for my work. I did not have room for camera gear, so I purchased a 35mm f1.4 for my Nikon F2 in the late 1980's and never looked back. Also a nice lens for street shooting and using zone focusing for quick one handed candid shots. When I was home, I used my other lenses and my Nikkor 80-200 f/4.5 was another good one. Only has one ring for zoom and focus.
Have a nice holiday Paul.
