Went to Shop Rite yesterday. A routine weekly event. For food for the week. Nothing special just. weekly refills. A chicken and some ground beef and fruits and veggies. Bill? $250. !00 more than usual. Biden said inflation would get better next week. He said it LAST week. Thanks a bunch Joe. To quote Joe "those who earn under $400,000 will not have a tax increase" Maybe not. But a 40% increase in food prices for only 1 week is far worse. No mmter how you slice it, tax increase, or inflation. the people will still have less money in their wallet

A couple of years ago I had a project that required a couple of 4X8 3/4 inch treated plywood at fifteen dollars each. I thought that was a little much but OK. About a month ago I decided to do something else that required the same plywood. This time they were seventy five bucks. I put the project on hold. They are still pricey but are coming down. I thought $75.00 was a mistake and asked a clerk. He grinned and said, "I've checked that about three times and that's the price. Groceries are about the same. I'm thinking of putting eating on hold for a while till prices come back to where they should be

I do lots of wood working and haven’t see 3/4” treated plywood at $15?fir decades .

It’s all supply demand . Supply is still a challenge due to labor and transportation .

Lumber is down to about what it was 12 months ago in 2020.

What you really saying is dont eat so much. Neither my wife nor I am overweight. I am 6'5 and 200 lbs. Shinny as a rail.( I cant tell you about the wife;s weight--she would kill me). Lets just say she doesnt have a weight problem. Eating less would endanger our health. Doesnt matter what or how much I eat. My skinny build is genetic. In some ways it;s actually a blessing to be able to eat any thing I want at any amount and not gain an ounce. My overweight sister is very jealous

I do the cooking. My other hobby. Mostly french, and Italian. I like to think I am a reasonably good home cook. Some of my recipies have been served in restaurants from Glen Cove to the Hamptons on Long Island. I do a killer Chicken Dijonaise and a chocolate bread pudding for dessert/ My Grandma's pot roast is the best comfort food ever.

I don't wave around my faith in peoples faces and

it really cuts down on anyone walking over it.
