Biden shit on the Pope too. You forgot that in your love letter to him.

First of all, the decision to end the Afghan war was not Biden's, he just followed through the plan from his predecessors. Also, Biden didn't pass no infrastructure bill, he can't pass anything, well with the exception of the occasional gas.

He's done more to damage America than anyone in 100 years. Trump did more good for America than any President since Reagan.

This original post wasn't about Biden but Kamala. In extoling Biden's wins (which a lot of people do not see as wins at all), don't overlook his greatest failure -- bringing Kamala along. I have never been a Biden fan, but even if I had been in the past, he did one thing during the election that would have dismissed him as a viable President. He announced that his running mate would be a woman. That alone is enough to show a failure of intelligence. Any person smart enough to run the most powerful country in the world should be smart enough to select the most competent, qualified person available. It should not have mattered if that person was male, female, transgengered, black, white, yellow, red or purple! I'm not making a judgement as to whether Kamala was the best choice but from the answers to the OP, there is not much respect for her and I notice you chose to defend Biden rather than reply to the OP. Says a lot.

Are you going to brain-wash your grandchildren with that BS?

Sorry, I got on the wrong OP. I thought the reply was for the post about Kamala. It still stands that I think his decision making is flawed because of the way he selected his running mate.

I think yours may be the best answer!

Isn't it wonderful that we've been favored by both parties to have the only option to vote for "the lesser of two evils"? Who was the last president you really respected? For me, he was Ronald Reagan.

That's one strike. If you believe "Iran-Contra" was all the work of one Lt. Colonel in the basement of the Whitehouse, I've got a selection of bridges available for a modest cost.

Where is your evidence that Reagan knew about it?

Do you feel that there has been any president who has not been involved in some type of scandal? The degree and extent of power for US Presidents is enormous and bound to lead to some questionable decisions. In the end, he did what Carter could not, he brought home our illegally detained citizens. Given the state of the relations between Iran and the US since the theocracy coup, our people could still be imprisoned (unlikely but possible given the mutual hatred).

My decision is based on his overall achievement in the areas of military, economy, and productive legislation passed. I did not applaud some of his efforts (for instance his refusal to acknowledge the AIDS epidemic and failure to materially fund research). No president is free of criticism; the job is simply too difficult to bat 1000% but, he did a good job for Americans and for attaining a higher level of worldwide respect.... IMHO, better than any subsequent President.

Perhaps Carter couldn't because Reagan had made agreements with the Iranians, even though for him to have done so was illegal. Don't know with certainty that this is so, but have always suspected so, as do many others.

Reagan was a union buster! It was during Reagan's presidency that "plausible deniability" became popularized. Surely that can't be a good sign.

I'm unaware of any scandal surrounding Carter. I had a second on a commercial building that was floating and tied to prime, so I'm aware of the inflation and soaring interest during his term.

Infrastructure bill passed. Build Back Better on the way. Standing up to Trump and China. Better court picks. Has empathy with others. For the most part, excellent cabinet appointments. Takes covid and climate change seriously.
