I never thought to download, but after seeing your comment I did, and I zoomed in. The in-focus parts are truly in focus. Perhaps the PP softening is just a bit overdone?
I lean toward your assessment of #3; I don't need those parts of the anatomy so blatantly exposed.

Nobody needs ‘those parts’ exposed in a photo, but nobody needs breasts in a photo either. But sometimes they just are just parts of the picture. No need to be critical of their inclusion, this is nude photography, not semi-nude photography or selective nude photography. These are not my favorite photos, but I support ski’s decision to include what he did. It’s not porn at all. But if it is too much for you, that’s okay, too. We can all live in a world that includes full frontal and sometimes even more graphic art because we are artists.

I am not prudish; I just think there are some body parts that are not overly "attractive" or are best kept somewhat private. Not very many would approve of photos showing the anus; yet it is a body part that we all have and need.
I sort of the feel the same about male nudity showing the penis. Yes, statues often have them (usually undersized, I believe) and that for some strange reason does not bother me. It would also be more difficult to do a nude male statue that did not reveal the genitals, unlike statues of women.
But when it comes to photos one has the choice of displaying penises and labia... or not. I simply prefer not. My choice; my opinion; that's all. I am not offended when these things are shown as long as the intent -- even perceived intent -- is not porn. If I want to see porn I know where to find it. I just don't like it here on UHH.

It seems that we agree, in that everyone has a right to be comfortable in their photo showing or viewing. If this photo bothers you, just walk away. I also agree that some anuses or vulvas aren't all that attractive, but some may be. I have photos showing female genitals but as a rule, I tend not to display them. Not because it isn't in good taste or borders on porn, but rather because it is usually not doing anything to help my photo. Some models think the photographer wants them to open up, if you will. I've had to tell models not to because it's not the pose that I want. Sometimes the pose just happens to show a little more and that is okay if it's in the right context. Maybe I'll post some as an exercise in sociology??
In the third photo of this set, the model is purposely holding up the fabric of her wrap to display her genitalia. It just makes me think "why". The answer is obviously titillation. Now it moves closer to eroticism.

I agree about her expression. She looks kinda bored or at least uninspired or uninterested in what she’s doing. Ya, I wonder if some of the negative comments would have been different if she had really sold it with her face. Easy to shade a photo if the model doesn’t really look like she’s into it.
