Very interesting. We have the shoe house here in Central Penna.. It's east of York Pa.. I'll have to see if in my travels I can grab a photo. Maybe someone already has one they can post.

The head fell off the Mother Goose quite some time ago, and it took some time to get it fixed. I understand the head has been reattached, and perhaps this is the house after the head reattachment.

Yes, after 80 years efforts were being made to reinforce the failing head, but it did fall off in March of 2021. The community is rallying around a GoFundMe campaign to restore it. Haven't seen any reports yet on the project progress.
