If you would like top shelf, you might consider a 15 year Pappy Van Winkle.

I don' t know about others, but I appreciate going in a liquor store or even down the booze section of a local store and seeing all the different brands and varieties. And in glass bottles. So far we have avoided having the market shrink to just a few conglomerates offering a few choices in plastic liter bottles.

Only you can be the judge of that - did you have a sip? If so, I hope it wasn’t with those beverages next to it! It is a Kentucky Bourbon, so for my taste just doesn’t measure up to a good Tennessee Whisky.

It's kind of funny; I did not even think to try any even though it was obviously available to me. I guess I am just that much of a drinker. Sucks to be me sometimes.

Never had Knob Creek. I like either Old Grand-Dad (Kentucky Straight Bourbon 100 proof), or Dewar's (Blended Scotch - Double Aged). This feels like a good night for Dewar's.
I never had either one. Maybe I live in a cave.

Don't know about their bourbon but I drink their rye straight.
Hmmm... Interesting. This must actually be a good brand. I just don't know.

Good spirits are pored into a glass and sipped. Lesser quality spirits are consumed on the rocks an/or with water. Tasteless spirits are mixed with carbonated beverages or fruit juice. Dr. Pepper, to me, tastes like carbonated prune juice and would be used to mask the taste of foul booze. So, are the De. Pepper cans for tea totters, or being used as a mix?
Very good to know.
