The biggest single issue with the vaccine or not and masks or not and etc…is that the fringe folks in both parties demanded their way and the whole argument became political. Neither fringe will admit that there are circumstances when the other side is right…not just this but any polarizing issue. In the nd…politics intrudes on common sense on both sides…and if asked I’m willing to point out examples of that on both sides…but deep down we all know what I mean. Polio, measles, and smallpox vaccines succeeded largely because political people stayed out of it and gee whiz…common sense happened…although I doubt a government mandate would be accepted now as it was then…because of the inflexibility of both parties, mostly the fringes but leadership now pretty much bows to the fringe on both sides.

Me…I think vaccines are generally good..as are masks where necessary…but masks re much less necessary for people who had mild Covid and recovered and then got the vaccine…for those folks the likelihood of reinfection is much lower…and even if it happens symptoms are generally less…and at least here in SW FL the case rates re declining while those in winter states are climbing. A lot of that is not due to anything but weather..in the hot summer FL was inside in the A/C and folks up north were out nd bout doing things…and as winter pro he’s that’s switched…FL people are eating outside and picnicking and folks up north are inside and this their rate is up and south is down.

But I’m trying to use common sense here…and most of the blathering by politicians nd media is biased to one fringe or the other…and both are demanding my way or the highway…

This virus is never…never…going away, it is endemic now just like flu and colds are.

In fact, it is completely approved, and all you have to do is listen to any news (with an open mind) to learn that where the vaccination rates are higher, the Covid rates are lower. Stop making unfounded, misleading comments that may lead to anyone not getting the vaccine. That affects us all, physically, financially and mentally!

I think you need to read what was really approved. The NAME (COMIRNATY)was fully approved to market and sell it as COMIRNATY. Not the Vaccine itself. The Vaccine is still Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). The EUA was extended on Nov. 19th top include people of different age groups and to include the booster shots.

Since I did not mean for my post to start a war on the vax, I am going to just bow out and leave it to you. I don't really care to participate in a war, even one I started and even though I knew it might get rough. Thank you to those who gave some well thought out answers.
Just wondering if anyone can ask a non-photography question here any more without it turning into a war of opinions.
