Did not find what I went looking for; however, ....

....there were no eagles, but I found a cooperative osprey that insisted on sitting at the top of a tree at Pickwick Lake while I took its picture. As usual, with my luck with sitting birds, he flew away while I was in the process of moving my camera. I got one picture of his rear and half a wing which I discarded - the whole picture that is.

You almost got an eagle - or maybe you almost got a hawk. However, now, you got an osprey = a class of its own.

Thank you for your nice comment. Yes, they are. I've not found an opportunity to make a side-by-side comparison, but the size of an osprey's talons seem larger than an eagles.

The Osprey is probably my favorite bird. If their talons are not as large as an Eagle's, it is darn close.
But why, even when you are ready and the Osprey is paying you no attention, do they always fly in the wrong direction?
Great shots.

Thank you for your nice comment. After 56 years with the same lady I have no interest in loving anyone but her...
1. I love her very much; 2. If I was not smart ;and she caught me running around, she and Mrs. Army would have much in common. Mrs. Army was the wife of a General stationed in Washington, D.C. during the time of Bill Clinton & Mona Lewinski. General Army was what his wife's reaction would be if he were to do something like Bill? His response, "She would be standing over my body, holding a smoking .45 and asking, 'How do I reload this dam thing?'"

Who ever figures that situation out can copyright his findings and make a bit of money. Thanks for checking out my posting.

Nice shots, Floyd! While I really like eagles, osprey are my favourite raptors. Can’t get enough of them!
