In January/February 2021 I presented a series of 35 posts covering images from the calendars I have been creating annually since 2006.
I have just now completed my latest calendar for 2022, destined for our families and a few very close friends. 2022 has been a very unusual year for us in that we did thus far not do any traveling at all, obviously because of Covid-19. The only picture opportunities we had were so to speak in our backyard as we made a number of day trips, in our own Whatcom county and to our neighboring Skagit and Snohomish counties south of us. We also made a couple of day trips up to British Columbia/Canada, but they were mainly for family reasons and while I attempted to capture some images up there, they didn't really make the grade. The images in this year's calendar series will be less exciting, as some of them are somewhat similar since they were all taken in close vicinity of the others. I do trust that I will be able to have more exciting choices for the next calendar, hoping to be able to do some international travel again.
I normally place 4 images on the album cover and then one per month inside, which brings me up to 16 images. I will add 4 more images that were spares in the selection process but did finally not make the cut into the calendar. As in the previous calendar presentations, I will present these images in two posts and add the spares to use the allotted space of 10 images per post.

Thank you Barbara, I am happy to hear that you enjoyed this set showing our surroundings here.
Number 9 is a classic view of Diablo Lake from the Diablo Lake Vista Point on Highway 20 which crosses the Coastal Mountain range running from Burlington to Okanogan.
Regarding the "Stump Farm" I referred to in image #7. According to the dictionary that I found online: "A farm that was started on previously forested land covered with stumps of felled trees" - I wasn't aware of this term before, but it does make sense.
Here is a link to an interesting article on this particular stump farm, with some additional photos in the article:

Your "backyard' is beautiful, Joe! Thanks for sharing.
