Maybe one out of every 100 or so photos post, when I hit the download under a photo it goes to my download folder. Anyone know why? Just wondering.

I believe you'll find the target folder just follows wherever you downloaded last, including other sites / other reasons.

So, instead of opening up the higher resolution photo it downloads it to your computer?
Very strange - I've never had that happen. Maybe admin knows something.

I post very few photos. I don't see the need. As for downloads, if a picture is displayed, it should open without downloading. If there is no picture visible, just "Download," then it will go to your computer. The download has to go somewhere, and your Download folder is a good place. That's where my downloads go. You can change to download location, of course. You have to remember to go back there and delete all thos downloads you don't want to keep.

Speaking of downloads, after they go into the Download folder, I move them to the the folder where I want them: Programs, My Pictures, My Files, etc.

The only time that happens with me is when there is no picture visible, just "Download."

Firefox lets me specify where the downloads go.
I forget where the "default" location is, but I have Firefox set to ask me where I want it to go for each download.
That way I can put the item in my desired place instead of going to the "download folder" and having to move them to where I want them to reside.

Because it's a "browser non-displayable file", like a .PSD.

I have had this happen several times. If I recall correctly it usually happens when it is a tiff file.

It downloaded to your computer because you TOLD it to do that. What do you think the term "download" comes from? THAT is the only reason to download anything, you desire it to be on your computer. What did you think you were doing?
