Bluebird's are such hams! They flit around in front of me as if to say, here I am, here I am, take my picture. The sun was a bit low and this little ham hung from the bark of a tree daring me to shoot him. So, I obliged. I found the colors to be spectacular.

You are correct. Blue Birds aren't actually blue. No bird that appears to be blue is actually blue because no birds have blue pigment in their feathers. They appear to be blue by the way light passes through their feathers. Blue Jays are really mostly grey.
