My wife and I had the good fortune to spend an hour before dark with a hunting juvenile and adult Great Gray Owl here in Southern Oregon. It feels like such a privilege that they would allow us to share the same space with them. They kept an eye on us as they moved between several of their favorite hunting trees, but for the most part were unmoved by our presence. Here's a few pictures. Lots more at mrtk.smugmug.com

WOW, what a terrific series, all are wall hangers
I used to do a lot of wild life shooting and know the patience it takes and sometimes the luck either way these are really great photos.
