Say what? Doubletake with our self deceiving eyes. Children are especially confused by such photos.

I had a print of a squirrel on a tree with a long bushie tail... tail too long for the framed photo so I cut it out and glued it on so it hung outside the frame. A child walked by the porch, stopped, and looked in for a long time, confused that the squirrel was not real. Nanaval, have fun by showing your photo to children to see the reaction.

Very nicely done! I like doing breakout images. As I was looking at your image I noticed how it all looked like a painting. I was wondering if it would be more impactful if the dog transitioned from the dog painting into a portion of a real dog picture into a real photograph scene. Giving the impression that the dog has come to life somehow and jumped from the painting. As for me right now, it all looks like a painting and nothing appears real world. Anyway, it was my first impression. Again, nice job on the edit and effect.

Very cool results. And a little painterly effect as a bonus.
