A couple of days ago I came across this gray morph eastern screech owl in an abandon pileated woodpecker nest hole. I have been watching this nest hole for several weeks because I saw the fresh scratch marks on the right of the hole. It wasn't until a couple of days ago though till I saw the owl. These pictures were edited in Lightroom, DxO Pure Raw, and Topaz Gigapixel to upscale the cropped images.
Very nice. I think that's a typical view of a Screech Owl. I saw my first Eastern and Western Screech Owl peering out of a hole at me.
