I could use a better tripod. Been putting off buying one (and a better head) for a very long time now.
Not me. I'm still trying to learn to use what I've got
I'm good also , with film & digital

Fortunate to say I have no GAS. haha
I have digital and film gear which does all I want it to do. I’m focussed on just enjoying and having fun with photography.
Over the next couple of months I plan on purchasing a Rokinon 14mm ultra-wide and a Sigma 600mm mirror lens, used if I can find one on eBay with no stains on the main mirror. I imagine that one will come from a Japanese seller as they usually do a good job of describing such problems...or the lack of them.
That's all that's on my wish list right now and won't involve a lot of money.

The recent speed (Last 2 years) in which technology has changed for camera bodies for the better I will continue with my current camera.
I see the dust settling down and this technology trickling down to cameras mere mortals can afford in the next couple of more years then I will likely upgrade as I do like the new AF available.
All my lenses for the last 30 years will be 100% compatible so it looks like there is no worry in having to replace or upgrade already great lenses.
No need, the D750 is still my favorite. (The latest Nikon doesn't even have a built-in flash!)

(My opinion)
Built-in flash is only really useful for commanding off-camera flash. Built-in flash photos are susceptible to red-eye problems and harsh shadows and are limited in power. A good speedlight will serve you much better.

Interesting, I love having my built in flash and get excellent shots using it.
Have you ever used one?

Built in flash is not too good for illuminating a scene. But, they can work wonders in some situations when set at -2 to -3. It is the main reason I won't give up my D7200.

I am quite happy with my Fujifilm XT-2. It is "old" by several generations. While the newer models have a couple of features I might find helpful, most of the upgrades have been for video which I don't use (if I take a short video, it is usually with my smartphone). I would rather work on my photography skills and spend my money traveling to places to use the gear I have.
I hope I'm done for awhile ( my wife too). Having started with a DX Nikon D5100 then a D7200, next was a. FX D810, big jump as it required different lens'. Next was acquiring the holy trinity of lenses 2.8 version all Tamron with which I am very pleased. I already had a Sigma 150-600c from my DX days. Now just recently I purchased the Nikon D850. Since I have absolutely no interest in mirrorless I can almost say I'm done for a while. As a side note my wife loves the pics from the D850. they seem brighter and more vivid although I have it set the same picture quality as the D810.

I love all my bodies (digital and film) and have no intention of buying a new body any time soon (all my digital gear is DSLR - no mirrorless), but am lusting after the Nikon 200-500 to replace my Sigma 150-600. Maybe someday, but not today LOL. New accessories are always on the table though :)
Why should I? Give me a good reason!
I have a Nikon 7100 which I thoroughly enjoy and which gives me the quality of pics I like. Sure I’d like an 850 but being a hobbyist why?

I do mainly wildlife photography, most recent offerings by the big three favor the sports, portrait, and wildlife photographers. Amateur and family photographers need not apply.
If your happy with what you have and it does what you need it to do, than you are, as they say, enjoying your hobby.
For me though, if a camera came out that was significantly better than my current a9 for wildlife photography I would buy it in a heart beat. The Sony a1 is not that much better than my a9 to justify the price. But, if Sony brought out an a9III with the guts of an a1, they, yes, I would definitely step on the GAS GAS GAS.
