You better let them know the LIC is in Astoria, NYC, not Long Island. Nice pictures. We are now residents of NH. We still kept the house in the mid-'70s In the Eastside for city fixes. The city is becoming a cesspool.

Can you explain what you mean by “…LIC is in Astoria”? I thought they were both neighborhood designations like other sections of Queens such as Woodside, Sunnyside, Maspeth, et al.
Thanks

Very nice set David. I lived in the projects on 7th St. and FDR Drive (East River Drive when we moved there in 1949). Much has changed!

The second photo was taken on St. Patrick's Day? Nice shots.

My city is many things, some not so pretty, except the light often attracts me anyway.
I was early for a morning appointment at 37th and 1st Avenue, the Murray Hill neighborhood, so I walked under the FDR to the East River. The first looks at Long Island City. I then walked about 50 feet to the beginning of the FDR underpass and took the 2nd and 3rd just by turning around.
That’s your geography lesson for now.

Great job.
