I wonder if someone can tutor me through how to lose the chrome tap in the following picture? I've tried to use the clone stamp, but it doesn't look remotely natural. By cropping it out the picture loses balance. I'm guessing you can "layer" the image, but I'd need step by step by tiny step instructions. If this is something that has been covered a thousand times then please PM me, but it could be valuable to other "beginners" - thanks for you help!

I wouldn't lose the tap. It looks like it is dripping on the kid. Kinda cute.

I agree, the tap should remain as the kid is staring at it as the water drops are falling on him.

Keep the tap. Otherwise I'd think he was looking up at that spider on the ceiling.

Ok everyone - thanks for your input - the tap remains! Just to let you know the droplets are from a beaker of water I was pouring from above "Her" not actually the tap:0)

Even with the added info; I would still keep the tap.

Sheena, I touched up the picture just a smidge, Hope you didn't mind. I removed some of the shadows from the water drops, sharpened her eyes a little and removed a few reflections that were on the sink, ran it through color effex pro 4 and this is how it came out.. Hope you like it.

I know this is well-intentioned, but taking someone's image and "fixing" it without permission is a form of copyright infringement. Nothing serious, I realize, but if someone wants us to work their image, they ask.

Maybe the OP liked the shadows...

Evangr's copy actually does look nice, but 90% of the "corrections" I see here make the image worse.

The tap can be removed with p/s. I think it would add some mystery.

I agree! The original looks better, plus the "changes" (not improvements) are definitely outside the scope of what the OP was asking for!
