I used to be able to copy cartoons or funny pictures posted by others so I could send to a friend. I can no longer do that. Is it a setting? Actually I can still do that by saving to the desktop, but that ia an extra step. This happened once before and the copy was OK again.

Windows has a snipping tool accessed by pressing the windows key + Shift + S.

Try selecting the toon and then copying it to the clipboard.
Then bring up Word.
Past the toon to a document.
Then point at the toon and right click and save as a picture.
Works for me.
