This section of the river flows past an old, abandoned industrial and port area of Lisbon, once the center of the Portuguese military-industrial complex. The rea is being redeveloped for wealthy expats and the Portuguese affluent, but some vestiges of the area's history remain like the abandoned loading dock in the photo.
