He belongs here in the attic...he would fit right in with some of our caricatures!

"Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media...Hope that happens to me someday. He was a classic RINO, if even that, always being the first to attack other Republicans. He made plenty of mistakes, but anyway, may he rest in peace!" - The Short Fingered Vulgarian

"But anyway, may he rest in peace!" Yes, Trump really said that.

His self centered contrast is stunning:

"Laura and I are deeply saddened by the death of Colin Powell...He was a great public servant, starting with his time as a soldier during Vietnam." -George W. Bush

"General Powell was an exemplary soldier and an exemplary patriot...He was at the center of some of the most consequential events of our lifetimes." -Barack Obama

"He lived the promise of America, and spent a lifetime working to help our country, especially our young people, live up to its own ideals and noblest aspirations at home and around the world" -Bill Clinton.

He was many people's idea of a true patriot including me. If you have lived your life and not made any mistakes then I will listen and adhere to what you say, otherwise, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT

We all know Trump gets his thoughtful words from Cupid.

... at least he's consistently foul.

Trump said. “40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan, and it was actually, before the World Trade Center, was the tallest,” he said. “And then, when they built the World Trade Center, it became known as the second-tallest. And now it’s the tallest.”

Are you talking about Powell or trump. Are you telling me to keep my mouth shut or trump?

This thread is about trump's utterly low class comment on the passing of a life long public servant...Powell.

trump had to trash up his statement...likely because Powell dared to vote against him in two presidential elections.

trump statements are always about trump.

That was classy all right. What a bozo.

The other 3 comments had class with Clinton’s being the most eloquent. I never liked his politics but he was the most eloquent president we’ve had in recent history.

I think he was referring to Powell being the patriot.

Tramsey made an ignorant post. I've watched him for a while, I don't believe it's typical, seems he should get a pass till I see more of it.

You make ignorant posts all the time, troll. Why should anyone on here care if you give them a pass or not? Your opinion on here is irrelevant.

He (Trump) should have kept his mouth shut.
Yes I believe Colin Powell lied right along with the whole admin.
How ever his accomplishments especially considering the time period
when he accomplished them were nothing short of stellar and they cannot be tarnished.

You've unwittingly written his epitaph.

"He (Trump) should have kept his mouth shut."

Reagan, his old speeches still bring tears to my eyes, he was a class act, only missed winning all 50 states in his reelection bid by some 3760 votes that gave Mondale the victory in his home state.

Did Colin Powell lie or did the intelligence agencies lie to him, we have seen a lot of that of late.
