New cam and some of the first shots.
I usually don't post here. Like everyone else I only post the best as far as I am concerned, but, I'll let see these.
The first two the red ones are macros at 6" and less than 1". The last one is a tele. like 160mm around 16 ' away.
I have always had a problem with DOF when it comes to closeups; the long shot is f6.9 I think and it is deeper than the f4.8 macro shots.
So think about that and then realize there is nothing that can do about it.
Why don't you post here? Pretty friendly group, appreciative of good photos like yours.

Nice set and I like the last one the best!
I hope you'll keep posting, as "CPO" said, it's a friendly place to get ideas, learn how to enhance your photography, or just post your favorite shots!

It would have been interesting if you used the 160 mm to shoot the same flower as you did withe the Macro. My eyes may not be as young as they once were so I don’t perceive a DOF problem with the closeups.

I like them, nice photos!
Nice bright pix. Please do post. On #1 cropping out that white thing and ball(?) on CL and maybe the bug-eaten plant on CR would draw attention to the blossom. You said that you shot at f 6.9--that gives you at least two stops to open up, no? Or, you could cut a mask and put a slight blur on the background in post.
Thanks to you all, I figured the pistols were a bit blurry on the macros so... Anyway they moved it from analysis to the gallery; notme.
