Hello all. I am interested in purchasing the Fuji XT 4 camera. I have done my research and viewed many comparisons with other cameras on YouTube. I would really like some input from any of you who own this camera. What do you like about it what dislikes do you have etc. it’s always good to get first hand information from actual users. Thanks for your help.

I’m pretty happy with it though just getting “adjusted” to it. If you get it, good resource is Tony Phillips book. The Movie side of the phone is an upgrade and has good reviews compared to any others out there. I would say Steve Perry’s Birds in Flight only references Sony, Cannon and Nikon mirrorless as far as shooting that kind of action. I will be testing it out starting Saturday on Safari. I think it’s focusing/tracking should not be too far behind those. It has great face/eye detection (R or L eye) but no, no bird eye detection as apparently Sony has. The size is nice to carry around. The back mirror flips out and flips over so you have any option for viewing. I like the “instant” zoom feature for checking focus. Having the features — SS, ISO — on dials is nice. Fuji lens are excellent. I will be shooting with D850/500 prime and Fuji for shorter distances. Feel free to let me know if you have more specific Q’s.

Battery improvement over the x-t3, which I have, and in-camera stabilization. The gear-acquisition syndrome almost got me, but I fought it off. I enjoy my c-t3.

Having changed from ff Nikon, I especially like the smaller body and lenses. The Fuji zoom is noticeably smoother than the non-pro Nikon zooms.

I purchased my FUJIFILM XT-4 in May of this year mainly for it's video capabilities since I also own a NIKON D750 & 850. What originally caught my eye from the store model I examined was that it has external dials on the top for ASA (OOOPS! I meant ISO), shutter speed and +/- exposure compensation which reminded of the old NIKON FTN Photomic I purchased back in 1972. I also purchased a small rig cage designed for the camera, the FUJI MIC ST1 mike and a RODE wind sock. To enable use of my NIKON lenses I purchased the Fringer NIKON (G lens) to FUJI (X) adaptor and the K&F Concept NIKON (Non-AI) to FUJI (X) adaptor for my old NIKON FTN lenses. I am still learning a lot of the functions on the XT-4, but very pleased with the videos I have shot with it using the 16-80mm FUJI lens that came with the camera and an AF-P (VR) NIKON 70-300mm lens. In fact, I have hardly touched my Nikon DSLR's since I acquired the XT-4. I also found that Tony Phillips's book was very helpful and must also give a shoutout to the Pal2Tech videos posted on you-tube that were immensely beneficial in my research before purchasing the XT-4 and subsequent learning process.
