Last night, along with two others, our Grandson was presented as an Eagle Scout to his troop. We so proud of him, not only for this rare accomplishment, but for the person he has become. He's kind, humorous, bright, helpful to all, he donates his time & energy to charities and he's an A student taking honors and AP courses as a junior in HS. Forgot to mention that he plays varsity lacrosse.
Meet Sam:
Thanks for viewing! I'm done bragging!

Many reasons to be proud Mark
Impressive. Becoming an all-American person. We need more young men like him. Yes, congratulations.

Congratulations to your grand son! He clearly understands how to pursue a goal! I also liked the portraits!

Not to belittle your grandson's achievement, it is a significant achievement and credit is due to him for pursuing it.
But credit is also due to the Scout leaders who led him through the steps needed. When I was a scout (back in the last millenium), the Eagle rank was indeed rare in my area. But when I moved to New England, the local troop had a lot of Eagle scouts. I believe there were more than 30 Eagle scouts in a town of about 6500. The leaders were real leaders. (And, of course, they had good kids to work with).
I had a farm stand, and over 30 years, we had probably 12 boys work for us. 6 of them became Eagle scouts. There were also several girls who worked for us, but that was not an avenue available to them.
Congratulations to, Sam, Mark.

For sure. His Dad and Mom devote a great deal of time & energy to the troop. He acknowledged everyone connected with the troop in his speech.
Thanks,
Mark
