Gator or Crocodile?

I'll guess gator.
Crocks are in South Florida usually, the northern end of their range. Where was the image taken?
Can't see his back teeth, but you can see a crocks lower back teeth coming up over his upper jaw when their mouth is closed; for an alligator you don't see his back teeth.
Plus, the snout doesn't look quite long enough/pointy for a crock.

Either way, stay away.

Looks like an alligator (crocodiles have longer narrower heads) and in Florida that is common to see whereas crocodiles would be unusual.

If he sees you later - it's an alligator.
If he sees you after awhile - it's a crocodile.
