I have a Canon 60D and a Tamron lens for sale and was wondering if this is a good place to post the info. I have had several scamers using Craig's list. Just wanting to check the waters before posting.

most were purchased with paypal...but 1 was a biz check and 1 was a postal money order

I've sold two items here using PayPal. I didn't advertise them. They just came up in conversation. Someone wanted something that I didn't need.

For $500 plus shipping I bought a Sigma lens from a UHH member that retails for over $1000. We were both a bit apprehensive about getting ripped off and I suppose we could have been, but we were careful about delivery and payment and it worked out well for both of us. In my opinion, the likelihood of getting ripped off here is substantially less than Craigslist, unless you do it face to face.

I am a retired pro and selling most of my equipment on creigslist. I am curriently very happy with the results. As long as you price your equipment so that its attractive to the buyer you should have no problem. I only take cash and it avoids any problems. Good luck.

I appreciate your concerns. I've been on this site for about a year and have sold a Canon sx10 and a Fuji hs20 to other bloggers on this site.....didn't have any problems at all and everybody had the camera or money within about 4 days (depending, of course, upon where each lives). This is just my experience....and I would do it again if the situation came up.
