I think I posted images of the rest after I worked on it, but not doing its job.
Without the mods there was no way leaving the rifle without someone holding it to take this image.

Use duct tape, of course! 😂 ("Duck" tape wouldn't be strong enough, and anyway, ducks get nervous around rifles! 😳 😱 🤣)

(ducking and running)

I never was a fan of rigid front rests. If it works for you go for it. What are the specs on the rifle?

I only use the rest to zero the rifles so I know if its performing properly and that any errors later would be mine!!
The rifle can slide in the rest, the side motion is limited so it don't tip over when making adjustments.
The rifle is a 6.5 Grendel, 22' Shilen match grade barrel. it's a paper puncher since I no longer hunt.

What's the reason for the 4 Ultra High Tensile Bolts...
It's not as if you're bolting a pressure plate to
the flywheel of a 600 HP engine?

With all that fancy stuff just to hit the middle would be easier to take the bullet head to the target , take a hammer pound the lead right into the sweet spot and say , that was fun, and cheaper.
