Flash Bracket and Lens

I'm interested in purchasing a flash bracket for my Canon T1i. I looked at a Stroboframe 310-910 at my local camera store, $90. Anyone have any others they use and/or like better?

Also looking at a Tamron 28-75 f/2.8. I know I hear many of you say stick with the Canon or Nikon lenses. The gentleman helping me recommended this and has been in the business for 25 years. Any thoughts on this Tamron lens?

Thanks for any info you can share. Kat16

I could not find an image or post on the internet about a 310-910, but I did find a 310-900 for $40:

I use a simple $15 Kalt L-grip flash bracket.

I use a newton rotory bracket, but any quality brand like stroboframe is good. the important thing is to be able to position the flash directly over the lens in both horozontal and vertical shots. This eliminates that annoying shadow on the wall behind your subject. For outdoor shots it's not so critical.

I have used this bracket and still have it.
Be sure to get the anti twist plate! (I didn't get it at first....)
Be sure your camera will mount correctly with the anti twist plate.
Didn't take no time for me to adjust to it.

I have used this one for years. (Canon 20D and 50D).

Allowing the flash to rotate above the lens when shooting portrait (Vertical) is a real bonus.

If you have a battery pack, make sure the camera and pack will fit in whichever one you buy.

Thats my bracket. Not sure if its the same brand but looks just like it. I’ve had this bracket for over 30 years from way back in the film days
