This molting, male, Cooper's Hawk flew into our yard yesterday morning while we were having breakfast. The bedlam lasted only a few seconds as the songbirds scattered for safety in our hedges and, all escaped a fate at deaths door! These images were taken through our kitchen bay window with a Sony RX100M3 which I keep handy for moments like this.

Thanks Mike...the window does give me a strange color cast that I have to figure how to "process" out!!

He didn't have any luck this time, Ken. However, he is part of a pair that nests in the area and has cleaned out a sizeable quail population we had.

Thank you very much, Gary...usually I just photo songbirds and the occasional quail.
