Never were very pretty! We had so many in Ohio and MD/VA as well as NY/NJ. Hundreds of them really create quite a din! But, they aren't native to GA. Must admit I miss them little crunchy critters. Drive a car over the bodies and you'll know what I mean.

Here's a fun fact; The females make a "clicking" sound which is how the males find them for mating. When you see one on a tree or whatever, snap your fingers and they will come toward the sound. You can make them go left and then go to the right by moving your arm as you snap your fingers.
