I wouldn't normally post an image of my pet - but here goes!!

This is Cruiser, my beautiful greyhound my wife & I rescued from the pound where he was abandoned after his racing career.

During his racing days, his favoured position was at the head of the pack. Now in retirement, his favoured position is lying supported!

Thanks Erv and Marilyn. Everything I introduce him to eg, the beach, ocean, parklands, crowds, traffic, coffee shops etc is a new experience because he grew up in the sheltered environment of a racing kennel and a rural pound. It's been a journey of discovery for him and I watch over him and take care of him in his new and sometimes scary world. We've become best friends.

They are some of the greatest disposition of any dogs I have ever met. I plan on getting one from a rescue when the time is right. Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures and great looking dog. Cheers.

flathead27ford, we all have our favourite pooches and I'm probably bias, however this little guy gives my wife and I nothing but pleasure. Fortunately we live in a rural area with miles of secluded beaches. When he runs at full stretch on the beach, my heart simply flys. I love him for so many reasons & one of them is his disposition.

You go for it & rescue one - you'll never regret it (neither will he/she). :-P

Larry,
Anyone who rescues 4 Aussies of any kind is a good *bloke.

*Note: Bloke - Somewhat old fashioned term for Australian male. Roughly equivilant to 'Pal' in US speak.

No offence meant - just being a dog!!
