I get it. EVERYBODY who said we were energy independent at the end of the Trump presidency was lying. We were importing more than we were exporting was the truth. every body but you was lying?? The covid virus is gone and the unemployment rate has gone way down which has lead to oil demand increase-hense higher oil prices?? NOT. Who is un-educated?aybe you should look at the unemployment rates or 1 million jobs while workers are not seeking employment.

1. We have never stopped importing oil.. fact
2. Explain how cancel a pipeline that had never been build , never pump a single drop of oil changed our oil supply .
3. Tell me how canceling “ future” leases changed our oil supply .

Sorry but to put it bluntly you don’t know what you talking about.

Why can you not educate yourself at least enough to ascertain some actual facts as opposed to further digging the hole you're in? You can take the time to post cherry picked statements, so maybe spending a little more effort on a total issue would give you a more comprehensive understanding. Political standing has a way of prohibiting behavior that can offer a more complete idea regarding often complex issues.

He stopped all that the first day in office. Thomas Sowell said Biden had always been a Doofus, and still is
in my opinion. 2022 will be a landslide for anybody except the Marxists.

Biden isn’t running the country he is a useful tool.
As far as 2022 don’t count your chickens before they hatch

It still comes down to this fact. Biden is asking Arab Countries to drill more oil to send to the US, because we are not producing enough to meet our needs. This is not energy independence. We are no longer a net exporter of fossil fuels. Prior to biden we were. Aa a result of bidens actions we are exporting LESS fossil fuels, hence his asking Arab countries to drill more oil so as to send it here. Yes we were using arab oil before biden. But we are now asking for MORE. We did not need MORE before biden. Those countries are not stupid. They will demand more $ for this increase demand. Oil prices will NOT go down as a result of increased usage of arab oil. They will continue to increase.

Watching the CBS morning news they announced that Biden had requested OPEC to increase production. If you want to check that out just google CBS news and ask the question. Of course if you watched the news instead of just trolling in the attic you would already know that it is a fact

Yellow journalism sells i.e. increases ratings...

Those who are truly interested in definitive data might be better served by The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)

The (EIA) collects, analyzes, and disseminates independent and impartial energy information to promote sound policymaking, efficient markets, and public understanding of energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment.

Albeit actual statistics may not be as much "fun" as the "Media" spin which is in the business of increasing it's ratings.

Here is the EIA Short-Term Energy Outlook for Global liquid fuels
https://www.eia.gov/outlooks/steo/report/global_oil.php
This current "Forecast" was completed: August 5, 2021

btw, The EIA was created back in 1974 as a compelling need to address the energy crises of the 1970s.
Believe some of UHH members might remember the agony of long lines at gas stations where only those with Odd or Even number licenses plates could be served. Folks it has been far worse...

Disclaimer: Out of choice I limit my petrol consumption... only visit a gas station once a month at most. Yes I'm one of those Green Earth Hippy Freaks who actually walks the talk. Planet Earth is experiencing trauma of epic magnitude (in my humble estimation). To this end I actually welcome skyrocketing fossil fuel prices, electric vehicles are the most viable solution on the horizon moving forward.

btw I vote with my wallet... suggest others do the same.
Please stay safe all, Covid induced viral pneumonia is a horrific way to die...

It is a rare treat indeed to see unselfish beliefs in action. Your humble oppinion is an inconvenient truth ignored by most because of their own self-interest.

I believe him because it's true. You certainly won't hear about it from NYT or on CNN so you will have to wait until the Washington Post or Epoch Times to write about it.

The fact that Biden, as well as other nations, asked OPEC to increase production to meet new demands is common knowledge. That part of the post is pretty much the extent of the accurate claims.

When Biden took office the US was energy independant for the first time in decades. Gas prices were below 2 dollars. So what did Joe do. All he had to do to keep the US energy independent was NOTHING. But he did not. His actions ended our independence. Reduced oil production. Ended the pipeline, halted drilling on public land and reduced fraking. Gas prices are up 50% to 3 bucks. So what is Joe's plan for more oil? He gas asked OPEC to drill more oil so the US can buy more foreign oil. THat's right. Now the US must depend upon countries that have sworn the distructioin of the Great Satan (the US) for energy. Wat to go joe.

That is so far from fact.
The pipeline has absolutely zero to do with oil independence. ZERO
He did not end drilling on federal lands... period !!
He said no new leases. Again ZERO to do with American oil independence!!

Gas prices are up due to massively increased demand as people get out and about more.

Educate yourself please !!!!

The Keystone pipeline is an existing structure that carries oil from Alberta, Canada, down to Cushing, Oklahoma. The major controversy surrounds a proposed 1,200-mile extension, or shortcut, between Alberta and Nebraska. Dubbed the Keystone XL pipeline, this additional route would connect into the existing Keystone pipeline in Nebraska, which extends onward to Texas. It's worth noting that the proposed shortcut shouldn't be confused with an already existing Keystone XL extension between Oklahoma and Texas, called the Gulf Coast pipeline, which has been operating since 2014.

The additional extension has been under consideration since 2008, when Canadian-based TC Energy (known as TransCanada at the time) decided this would be the best way to ramp up oil production as the route would allow 830,000 barrels a day to be transported to Texas. The current pipeline carries around 550,000 barrels a day from Canada. However, the proposed shortcut faced almost immediate objections from a varied contingency concerning the pipeline's environmental impact. For more than a decade the project has been caught in a tug of war between political administrations, environmentalists and oil lobbyists, alternating between having permits granted then revoked. The battle continues to this day.

How Much of the Keystone Pipeline Is Completed?

It's estimated that just eight percent of the Keystone XL pipeline has been built so far, although President Joe Biden canceled the project in January 2021.
