The CDC and their foot soldiers in the Democrat Party are drunk on power.
A few days ago, Speaker Nancy Pelosi decreed to the members of the House of Representatives that if they walk onto the floor of the House without a mask, she will fine them. Members of Capitol Hill staff could be fined AND jailed.
And the CDC has changed its guidance - AGAIN - and is now recommending that vaccinated Americans wear masks.
Worst of all, many of these same authorities, both politicians and unelected bureaucrats, are calling for “vaccine passports” for all Americans!

These are responsible, reasonable steps to protect the public health. Not adopting such policies would be irresponsible.
The CDC's guidance that Americans again wear masks is due to the especially contagious delta variant and the fact that many Americans still refuse to get vaccinated. Ironically, the requirement is especially aimed at protecting the unvaccinated, as those with vaccinations may catch the variant but are unlikely to get seriously ill. For those who don't want to have to keep wearing masks, GET VACCINATED!!!

In the fifties, people did things out of duty. They never gave it a thought that "it impacted their freedoms." They would have thought that was some kind of ultra liberal/communist thing. They would especially considered it a duty if it would have any impact on elementary aged children.
