We are finally having an authentic Monsoon Season here in Tucson following a horrible one in 2020. To put it in perspective, when the rain finally came this year, in a few days we had more rain than for the entire Monsoon Season of 2020. This is what one of the storms that hit us directly looked like. You are looking east from my patio towards the Rincon Mountains and that area of heavy rain had us boresighted. It was a slow moving storm and knocked a lot of branches off trees and caused heavy local flooding in the lower areas.
Wonderful capture, Shaun!

Nice (from a fellow Arizonan)! I was in Tucson to visit Saguaro National Park a few weeks ago (mid July). I love all the cloud variations we see here in Arizona and love to photograph them as well.
That's a heck of a thunder head! Nice photo.
I know we need water, but not all in the same place and time.

Very nicely done!! I love that you included the top of the cloud; it really adds definition both height wise and depth wise. Very cool to see the sun and heavy storm at the same time.

Now that's what the monsoon is SUPPOSED to look like!
